Questions & answers.

Straight answers about what UNIO is, what it proposes and what has not yet been established.

What is UNIO?

UNIO is a Liverpool-based initiative in development, founded by Cae Schlick, exploring a business system in which customers and workers benefit from the value they help create.

Is UNIO already operating as a profit-sharing business?

No. The website introduces a proposed model and invites expressions of interest. It does not currently offer profit-sharing entitlements.

Is UNIO a charity, political movement or investment scheme?

UNIO is intended as a commercial system with a different approach to distributing success. It is not presented here as a charity, political party or investment product.

How would customers benefit?

The proposed model allocates part of future distributable profit to eligible customers in proportion to qualifying spending. Exact rules have not yet been finalised.

How would workers benefit?

Workers would receive wages for their work. The proposed model separately allocates part of future distributable profit to eligible workers according to qualifying hours.

What does 50/50 mean?

It refers to a proposal to divide distributable profit into two equal pools: one for eligible customers and one for eligible workers. It does not mean 50% of sales revenue goes to either group.

Does registering interest make me a member?

No. Registering interest does not create membership, ownership, a right to distributions or any financial entitlement.

Are profits or payments guaranteed?

No. A business may have no distributable profit. Any future allocation would depend on actual results and published eligibility and accounting rules.

Can the founder take the profits?

The founding intention is that profits are not extracted solely because someone owns the business. Compensation for actual work is treated separately. Binding governance arrangements are still to be established.

Does UNIO reject capitalism or promote socialism?

UNIO is focused on practical economic arrangements rather than requiring political allegiance. Its question is how commercial activity can benefit the people who sustain it.

Why start in Liverpool?

The founder chose Liverpool for its balance of city scale and community, economic opportunity and tradition of solidarity. His full explanation is in the personal message.

How can I participate now?

You can register your interest on the homepage as a potential customer, service provider, venture builder, partner or supporter. This is an expression of interest only.

Where can I find authoritative information?

The official website is unio.today. Start with the What is UNIO? and How UNIO Works pages, and the founder's personal message.
